Rev. Phyllis Byrd, Missionary through Global Ministries, preached At Sandy Creek UCC
on June 7.
After worship, all shared lunch and had dialogue with Rev. Byrd regarding her ministry in Kenya, where she has been serving for twenty years.
Our Mission…
The purpose of Sandy Creek UCC shall be to worship God, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to give utterance to the guidance of the Holy Spirit;
to love and care for each other, our local communities and all of God’s creation;to strengthen families, to minister to those in need, and to offer a holy presence to hurting people;
to celebrate Baptism and Holy Communion;and to“…do justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with [our] God.”

Welcome to the Sandy Creek UCC Web Site! Please peruse our site.We hope that you will be as excited over what you see here as we are excited over what we experience at Sandy Creek UCC. From the five to ten who first began gathering in the Spring of 2006, to the twenty-five to forty who are currently worshipping at Sandy Creek, we give God thanks for this community of believers and for this place where we can feel and know and be touched by the Grace of God. We rejoice that our mission is not to create rules and boundaries that keep people out of church, but instead, our mission is to do justice and to love kindness—to shout the Good News to all who will hear! We are called to touch the untouchable, to love the unlovable, to feed the one who is hungry, to be with the one who is lonely, and to care for the one who is hurting!
